The Registration Reader is used mainly for testing UHF tags and recording their factory-set 64-bit ID codes. It connects with a PC or other device which controls when the RF unit transmits and records tag ID data.

This reader uses Bluetooth to transmit tag codes to any Bluetooth-enabled device for example, a PDA, PC, or IPICO's DIMI-SA. This reader can be fitted with a cradle to hold a PDA making it a portable stand-alone reader.

Long range up to 20 m depending on TX power and tag type
Frequency hopping in 902-928 MHz ISM band; fixed in 869.4-869.65 MHz band; fixed at 915.3 MHz. Custom frequency and power settings are also available.
This reader achieves very long ranges and is available in 4 basic frequency and power versions.
