UHF Handheld Read/Write Reader

Description:
Reader consists of an integrated antenna, RF Unit, rechargeable/replaceable battery. Data communication between reader and application host (typically any PDA) is done by BluetoothTM (Class II) or WiFi 802.11 b/g. Software maintenance can also be carried out via an USB port. The complete reader is integrated into an ergonomically shaped ABS housing and allows the user to do remote registration and inventory control and process the data in real time. Onboard Memory and Real Time Clock capability allows for off-line data processing. The reader can write to and read from all pages of a Read/Write tag (using appropriate reader commands), and can read user data from tags configured in “TTO**” mode.

UHF High Performance EVI Reader

Frequency:
This UHF High Performance reader is available in a wide range of power and frequency versions, and complies with ETSI (Europe) and FCC (USA) standards. The power level can be set to any value from 0.1 W to 8 W EIRP (EVI reader) or 5W EIRP (all other readers), and the frequency from 860 to 960 MHz, fixed or hopping.  Some typical settings are:
● 4 W EIRP frequency-hopping in the 902 – 928 MHz ISM band – (USA and some South American countries)
● 1 W EIRP frequency-hopping in the 902 – 928 MHz ISM band (Australia)
● 500 mW ERP fixed frequency in the 869.4 - 869.65 MHz band (Europe)
● 4 W EIRP fixed frequency at 915.3 MHz (South Africa)

Description:
These readers can read both Read-only and Read/Write tags, can read all the data pages transmitted by tags operating in “TTO**” mode, and perform all read, write, and control functions pertaining to the operation of Read/Write tags.

The standard data output is RS232 with programmable baud rate and flow control. Optional outputs include RS485, Ethernet, and Wiegand with RS232. All received IDs are date- and time-stamped in the reader. Supply is either from 12VDC or 90 - 264VAC.

The antennas used are circularly polarized so that tags may be in any orientation. This reader is also available with linearly polarised antennas specially suited for Electronic Vehicle Identification (EVI) purposes. Two versions of the “EVI***” reader is available: (1) Ethernet for normal traffic monitoring, and (2) RS232 with Wiegand connection for access control.

UHF Single Antenna Reader

Power/Frequency:
The power level is factory set to any value up to 2W ERP, and the frequency from 860 to 960 MHz, fixed or hopping.

Description:
The UHF Single Antenna Reader can be configured in a wide range of power and frequency settings, and complies with ETSI (Europe) and FCC (USA) standards. The power level is factory set from 0.1 W to 2 W ERP, and the frequency from 860 to 960 MHz, fixed or hopping.

The data output is Ethernet/RS422/RS232 and Wiegand(26/34bit) and is set internally by connecting the cable ends to the appropriate connection points for the desired output format. All valid IDs received are date- and time-stamped in the reader, and immediately output via the cable.

Power supply is external 12 VDC.

This reader can read both Read-only and Read/Write tags, can read all the data pages transmitted by tags operating in “TTO**” mode, and perform all read, write, and control functions associated with the operation of Read/Write tags.

The antenna used is linearly polarized, and for best results the tags should be aligned parallel to the short axis of the reader.

The Readers are shipped without a connecting cable, which must be provided by the user, and attached to the relevant connector points depending on the required I/O format.
