The Handheld Reader consists of an RF unit, an integrated set of antennas and battery and is connected by a Bluetooth (BT link to any BT-enabled PDA, PC, DIMI-SA or other control/storage device. The complete reader is integrated into an ergonomically shaped ABS housing. With this reader, users can do remote registration and inventory control processing the data in real time as long as the reader remains in BT range of the host controller.

125 kHz tag power-up, 6.8 MHz tag return signal
The Registration Reader is used mainly for testing DF tags and recording their factory-set 64-bit ID codes. It can also write data to Read/Write tags, and read user-defined pages of tags configured for TTO mode. It connects with a PC or other device which controls when the RF unit transmits, records tag ID data, and controls write operations.

The Access Control Reader can read and write to the complete suite of IPICO DF tags. Two options of communication interfaces with Wiegand connecting to virtually any traditional access control sytem, and RS422 where bi-directional communication as well as longer deployment distances are needed.
